Assassin with a Heart of Gold
Tumblr media
Name: Admaer Daeneiros (He/Him)
Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Criminal
Inspiration & Story: This lil guy I made long before I even touched BG3. He was originally made for a Out of the Abyss game that was unfortunately dropped. So his story was prematurely ended. The main inspo for this character is that he's an asshole with a soft heart. A tsundere hoe who thinks the don't care, but they actually do.
The main concept of his backstory is that he was born and raised a slave, more or less. At a young age, his Elven mother gave him up to a poor Human family. Only for that family to sell him away for money. He spent the majority of his life being bounced around by different slave owners, doing various different jobs that were asked of him. Eventually, his skills were so polished that he did better as a hired killer and assassin. He eventually escapes his enslavement and is on the hunt to kill every slave owner who ever owned him.
Below will related to his story so far within BG3.
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD!
Admaer isn't a native in Baldur's Gate, but he was quite obviously in the city when the Mindflayers snatched him up. He was (and still is) on a hunt to go after the man who made his life a living hell. For the purposes of this game, that end goal for Admaer is killing Lord Enver Gortash.
While on the Nautiloid, he opt to not save Shadowheart since the ship was quickly sinking. After the fact, he would meet her again and recruit her in the group. He would do the same with Astarion, Lae'zel, and Wyll. As for Gale, because the portal seemed dangerous, he saw no need to interfere with it.
Admaer's mind right now, aside from his own personal goals, is to get rid of the Mindflayer tadpole within his head. So upon entering the Emerald Grove, he's been largely dismissive of the Tieflings' blight and the Druids wanting to kick them out. However, the small inklings of the Druid Halsin has slightly peaked his interest. He's yet to meet kagha and Nettie.
Companion Relationships:
Astarion: Since EA (Early Access) Astarion was always my number one pick for this character, so he's obviously the "End Game Girl." Right now, in the context of the story, Admaer still doesn't know that Astarion is a vampire. However, both being fellow roguish men, Admaer currently is friendly with Astarion. Though he has noticed that Astarion has been feeling a little slow as of late.
Shadowheart: Admaer is also friendly with Shadowheart, though he is more distrusting of her than he should be of Lae'zel. Shadowhearts' constant bashing against the Githyanki has Admaer questioning why that is the case and if she's hiding any shit of her own. Especially since she's yet to come forth about the mysterious bauble she keeps on her person. If there's one thing he does agree with, it's that they need to find someone who can get rid of the tadpole.
Lae'zel: Not vibing with her condescending attitude, but respecting that she's not afraid to break a few bones to get the job done. Funnily enough, I accidentally appealed to her so much that she offered to fuck him XD. Admaer politely declined, though he did get some insight on what her history was like as a Githyanki warrior serving the Lich Queen, Vlaakith. Admaer is a little bit more on board with going to the Gith Creche since Lae'zel has been forth coming about what the next steps should be. Compared to Shadowhearts suggestion of just finding a healer. You know, in the middle of nowhere.
Gale: Mentioned this earlier, but when he found the unstable sigil, Admaer decided to leave it alone. So no opinion on Gale yet.
Wyll: Admear see's Wyll as a typical "do-gooder" type individual. He's even more confused as to why he's more focused on his search for Karlach than the tadpole they both possess in their head. He allows him to camp with his crew, seeing no point in not including the famed Blade of Frontiers. Especially, if his status holds true, he could utilize his fame to get themselves into the good graces of some important people.
Karlach: He hasn't met her yet. Right now, all he has is Wylls word: She's some sort of Devil who's out murdering innocents.

Assassin with a Heart of Gold
Tumblr media
Name: Admaer Daeneiros (He/Him)
Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Criminal
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
Been a minute since we spoke about this bastard man, so let's get back into it. So last we left Admaer, he fucked up Lae'zel's chances of ever appeasing Vlaakith and ran away from the Creche with the Astral Prism in tow. But not before stealing the Blood of Lathander mace from the monastery and dipping. I also didn't get the egg from the Creche, but I already took that bitches money, so Admaer still wins (even though I sold everything I had for a cool lookin shortsword lol).
After leaving the joint, it was time we head to Moonrise Towers. Like Pero, Admaer is going to stay above ground, not wanting to risk going back to the Underdark. Before reaching the Cursed Lands, we are greeted with a familiar face at camp.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We are greeted with Voss again, and despite our Guardian telling us that we shouldn't trust him, Admaer hears the man out. Apparently, Voss is secretly conspiring against his queen as well. He reveals that the purification, the Zaith'isk does not purify anyone and only kills both the host and the parasite. He also reveals that those who are ascended by Vlaakith are not ascended at all. They are instead killed and eaten by the Lich Queen as she pursues a path to godhood. Lae'zel is at first defiant about these claims, but ultimately decides to take these to near heart and spare Voss.
Voss is still in good graces with the Queen and intends to make it seem like that for a while. He intends to overthrow Vlaakith and needs the Prism and our help to do so. He grants us a item that will assist with letting us know if Githyanki are in the area and asks that we meet him in Baldur's Gate for any next steps.
While traveling, we get a few more companion stuff. One, we discover the note that explains that Wyll's father will be going to Moonrise Towers and he begs that we go rescue him as soon as possible. Astarion also tries to decipher what it is that Cazador carved on his back, which neither Astarion or Admaer could explain. Upon entering the Cursed Lands, Shadowheart expresses how Shar might've blessed her since the shadows don't consume her like it does the others. Then there's Karlach, who expresses that she's starting to feel unwell due to her Inferal Engine and needs to find Dammon quick to have it tuned.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In our last rest, our Guardian visits us again and expresses their weariness. Apparently there were multiple commands to have Admaer and the crew transformed, but thanks to their protection, that hasn't happened yet. The Guardian, Alex, explains that they have the means to take down the Absolute, but because of their secrets to destroying it, everyone in the damn universe is after them. They ask that Admaer hurries to Moonrise Towers and find out the secrets to the tadpole and what magic is protecting it.
With that done, Admaer was able to summon the Drider to be their guide to Moonrise. Because I let Minthara fall into the abyss last I fought her, that meant her stuff also fell with her, so I didn't have the lyre. However, with my Iilithid powers, Admaer was able to summon the Drider regardless. After a brief walk with the Drider, we are ambushed by Harpers. This time, instead of siding with them, Admaer decides to keep his cover as a True Soul and kills the Harpers instead. With that, we made it to Moonrise Towers. However...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Admaer is approached by Mizora about releasing a powerful devil that the cultists of the Absolute have in tow. Despite this being a time for Admaer to vouch for Wyll's releasement from his pact...Mf don't give a shit lol. Admaer cares enough to not want Wyll to become a lemure, but that's it. Wyll's pact is his own and whatever comes of it concerns Admaer little. You know, until it does.

Assassin with a Heart of Gold
Tumblr media
Name: Admaer Daeneiros (He/Him)
Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Criminal
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
Going back to our Rogue, Admaer, last we saw him, he and the gang were on their way to enter the Githyanki Creche by breaking into the destroyed monastery. After some confusing platforming, we were able to enter the Creche and it functions much like how Emerald Grove and the Goblin Camp where it's practically a settlement in of itself, just this time, it's filled with Githyanki.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thanks to use having Lae'zel in our Party, we were able to safely enter the Creche. From what could be perceived, it seems there's some mild unspoken divide. The entire Creche is hellbent on looking for the mysterious artifact that we carry, while some of the Gith are taking note of Moonrise Towers and the need to go there in search for the item or at least get rid of these enemies of their queen. While here, I spent ALL MY MONEY, just to get a cool looking shortsword. Best spending of my money!
While at the Creche, obviously, Admaer and the crew would want to find the individual who would remove the tadpole. While getting there, we went into the Infirmary where two children were bullying a captured Gremishka as they shoved it in a container and started shoving it around with their Mage Hand ability. Admaer attempted small talk as he was curious of what could've been making all those noise, only to get fucking shoved by those kids...Now a grown ass man would just take it in stride and walk away...Admaer is grown and he's an ass, so I ended up getting into a fight with the Gith in the room. Unfortunately...No children casualties.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once we reached where we would be cured, we met the Gith who could assist us. Ghustil Stornugoss is a scientist who has been studying the Mindflayer tadpole and shows us to the Zaith'isk that should be able to extract the parasite. Admaer opted to have Lae'zel be the first to have this operation done to since he's a bit suspicious of the device and he hasn't forgotten that his dream Guardian mentioned that removing the tadpole could result in death. So he's merely observing to see what would happen. While on the device, Admaer felt what Lae'zel felt, terrible pain and the point of near death. No matter what save I decided, the DCs were too fucking high. Fortunately, our Guardian interfered and saved Lae'zel's life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite her life nearly ending, Lae'zel believed that the Zaith'isk was tampered with and wanted to speak with an inquisitor about this possible manipulation. However, either I didn't explore thoroughly enough or I accidentally killed them in the other room, I just killed the other Gith warrior that got in the way of me meeting Ch'r'ai W'wargaz. He was apparently expecting our party and demanded that we hand over the object. Despite him explaining the Grand Design that the Mindflayers believed in and how this device could fight back the Illithids, Admaer was still resistant of handing over the object. This, of course, resulted in us fighting the present Githyanki. But after the fact, the most unexpected thing happened!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
FUCKING VLAAKITH HERSELF APPEARS TO OUR CHARACTER AND PARTY. Upon her arrival, she demanded that we enter the mysterious item, now known as the Astral Prism, and destroy the creature that lives inside it. In exchange, Lae'zel will become ascended and be highly favored in her Queen's eyes. Now, initially, after accidentally solving a Lanthander puzzle that would lead us to the Blood of Lathander, I got the cutscene of Lae'zel mourning about having failed her Queen by not performing her deed. But we'll get back to this in a moment. I decided to save scum and see what was inside the prism. Which brought along another unexpected scene!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We're actually in the dream realm where we met our Guardian! After doing some minor looting, Admaer was able to speak face to face with his dream Guardian, Alex. Admaer mainly entered this space in hopes of gaining answers, especially since it would now in his hands for him to kill or spare this individuals who poses as Alex. The Guardian explains that the reason why the prism is sought after is because the Guardian stole some vital secrets from Vlaakith. So vital in fact that it could threaten her rule and bring Gith society to ruin. Despite Admaer trying to gain more info about this secret she told him that he's not ready for that kind of information. Regardless, Admaer spared her and concealed his conversation from Lae'zel.
This is the part where I got the scene again where Lae'zel mourned her failure to her Queen. However, she instead decides to twist this reality by believing that she is being tested and that there will be another opportunity for her to prove herself to her Queen. Something Admaer says she's reaching for the stars with.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once that was done, I decided to do the sidequest to obtain the Blood of Lathander and I gotta love the trap and puzzle design of this section. It was very fun and the puzzle to get to the magical mace is perfectly balanced. Now, usually, Admaer probably would've have taken that mace. Especially with the security that was used to keep this item at bay and the constant warnings from the plaques. But we can say that Admaer got a bit cocky as he was easily able to by pass each magical door with no problem.
Fortunately, the Party was able to disable the device before catastrophe happened. Now, it seems like there's no other option but to Moonrise Towers.

Assassin with a Heart of Gold
Tumblr media
Name: Admaer Daeneiros (He/Him)
Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Criminal
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
The final one on the roaster is Admaer as we speedrun to get Halsin out. I mentioned this before, but initally, Admaer didn't care about helping the Tieflings and their quarrel against the Goblins. While the idea of getting Halsin out was on his mind, going to the Githyanki Creche sounded more reasonable than looking for a Druid who may or may not help them. However, when he finally unlocked his tadpole powers, Admaer decided that going after Halsin will help him do a test run with his powers. So far, only he and Astarion are enjoying these new powers.
This time, I didn't fuck up with saving the peeps at Waukeen's Rest and intentionally left it to burn as Astarion isn't holding his neck out for those people. He does learn about Wyll's father and while he's a pessimist about his fathers chance of survival, if they just so happen to run into the guy during their travels...Well, shit, it's the Duke of Baller Gate, so why not save him so that he gives us compensation for saving his life if he's worth that much to the cesspool city.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After fucking with the Zhentarim because Admaer despises them; not so much because he hates their business, but they played a large part in his life of enslavement as he worked and killed for them time and time again. So any chance he gets to fuck up their own little business, he'll take it. But after dealing with them and helping a artist get free, I decided to pay Auntie Ethel a visit. Unlike the other four who went to save Mayrinna, Admaer could give a rats ass since whatever she and the Hag got going on is none of his business. He did refuse to sacrifice his eye for the chance of being cured by the old lady.
After doing those final side missions, I finally went to go and kill the Goblin leaders as quick and quietly as possible. Just to fit into Admaer's whole assassin deal. After freeing Halsin, Admaer only asked the questions relevant to getting the tadpole out of his head, immune to the buddy daddy vibes of the Elf Druid. During the party, Admaer finally got to lay Astarion and discover his tattoos. Admaer was able to deduce that it was written in Infernal, but he avoids asking about the language and mostly ask if Astarion even knows how to read it. Admaer also learned about Shadowhearts whole deal with the Shar worshipers...TBH, homie doesn't care that much lol. Though was able able to sus out that when the Shar worshippers found her, she was in the middle of doing a Selunite coming-of-age ritual
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because Admaer was going above ground, I decided to take a peek behind the veil and see what the mountain pass looked like and OMG IT'S BEAUTIFUL! I was so at awe with the place! It's so beautiful that I couldn't help but take every opportunity to take screenshots. Looking for the Gith Creche, it led us to the ruined Monk monastery dedicated to Lathandar. While getting there, we met a elderly woman who wanted to take a Gith egg from the Githyanki. After using up MOST of my inspiration points, I was able to convince the woman to pay up first THEN she'll get the egg.
:)
That bitch is never seeing that egg lol! That depends tho, Admaer might change his mind. While resting here, Admaer met his dream Guardian again and if I was able to add a free dialogue option for my lil guy, Admaer would ask the Guardian why they chose the likeness of Alex, a past flame Admaer knew. Admaer tried to get information about the tadpole and learn what could be done about it. Going forward, I was able to get inside the monastery and met a room full of little guys...It wasn't fun.

Assassin with a Heart of Gold
Tumblr media
Name: Admaer Daeneiros (He/Him)
Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Criminal
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
Ok, I thought I was done, but apparently not lmao. This will be the last one, I promise! So I decided I wanted to give my characters a partial rest, just to see if I can milk out a Admaer/Astarion scene. Only to FINALLY get a dream sequence scene from my Guardian. Of course, the set up begins with Admaer feeling sick as a dog and Lae'zel nearly attempting to kill him. He tapped into his tadpole and convinced Lae'zel to lay down her arms, that she will not be a failure in her queens eyes if she continues to fight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In EA (Early Access), after this scene, this would be the moment everyone took to sickly talk with one another, but not here. It immediately get straight into the action. It's really a "you had to see it to believe it" moment. It's no longer the grassy plains and nearly beautiful ruins. Now, it's a galactic war near a skull like structure while Admaer's Guardian is quickly healing us, to an extent, to prevent the tadpole from changing us.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wanted to wait until the Guardian came about to explain this, so here we go! In Forgotten Realms lore, Elves do not sleep, sorta kinda. Instead, they go into a meditative state that they call "Reverie." This is a trance like state they will fall into that acts as "sleep" for them. It's why Admaer and Astarion sleep the way they do with their fingers posed as if they're in a meditative state. In this trance-like sleep, they sleep for less hours and the reexperience their previous experiences as a mental exercise so that they may be better than they were before.
(I am a Pathfinder lore fan by heart than a Forgotten Realms fan, so I may be incorrect here, so take what I said above with a grain of salt)
Now, Elves can fully sleep if they wish, but Reverie is much preferred because they get a full nights rest for 2/3rd the time and are mentally aware of their surroundings while in this state of mind. The only time Elves would indulge in sleeping is if they're seriously ill, injured, or exhausted.
However, Admaer hates being in his trance sleeps. Sleeping in such a way brings him back his many years of slavery, abuse, and trauma. So he much prefer sleeping as normal. However, even in a full state of rest, he cannot escape the night terrors that plague him, which leaves him waking up in a pool of his own sweat and panicked. So damned if you do, damned if you don't.
The Guardian is based on someone Admaer met centuries ago. A Human woman named Alex. Alex wasn't a slave, more so a mercenary who went where the gold was plentiful. When Admaer met her, he was well into his assassin years and the pair would help each other from time to time. They would become friends-with-benefits, but Admaer was slowly growing genuine feelings for her. He would not get to confess, however, as Alex would die while exploring a dungeon.
Admaer felt foolish for wanting such a relationship and believing that his life was finally turning up for him, so it jaded him further. To see "her" again was a eerie shock to him and he doesn't know what to think or say about the dream.
Admaer is unsure if he should indulge in using the tadpole and unlocking the potential of the parasite, yet with all that's happened, he's starting to feel less and less in control, especially after that incident with the dissonant voice. EDIT:
Ok, I just couldn't contain myself, I did one more partial rest just to see what other scenes I may or may not have missed, and apparently, the lesbians are finally making up!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I got a cut scene of Lae'zel & Shadowheart arguing over the artifact and how Shadowheart and her people stole this heirloom. You have the option to interfere, Admaer did not. He just saw it as another night of their pointless squabbling and just wanted to rest. That was until he woke up to see Shadowheart ready to slit Lae'zel's thraot. Admaer was able to convince Shdowheart to chill the fuck out and recognize Lae'zel's use to the group. The pair was able to make a temporary truce, deciding that their anger is better used when it's against their enemies.

Assassin with a Heart of Gold
Tumblr media
Name: Admaer Daeneiros (He/Him)
Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Criminal
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
Picking up where we left off, we're still on side quest lane as we go to "rescue" the Gnome on the windmill. Due to Wyll's whole story having changed, this no longer involves Wyll having an outburst of anger meeting one of the Goblins and wanting information about the whereabouts of someone they knew. Now, it's just Goblins bullying and tormenting a Gnome for the fun of it. To admit, I kinda miss Wyll having that outburst of anger. But don't worry, there's a cool thing about Wyll that we'll get into later :D.
We also convinced the Ogres to fight for us against the Goblins. In-character, Admaer would most likely do this when his heart and mind is dedicated to helping the Tieflings, but my metamind wanted to get that out of the way before leaving for the Creche. The whole Bugbear & Ogre sex scene was also changed. Now, it's no longer a conscious choice to interrupt them, it's played up as if we accidentally ran into them. Also, you don't get Astarion points for running into them. Not that it's a bad thing, just something to note.
Tumblr media
While saving the Gnome, Shadowhearts' injury glowed again as we approached a broken statue of Selune.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Admaer asked about the injury again, now knowing what the wound is all about, Shadowheart reminded him that she's unsure of its origin and why it reacts the way it does.
Finally, we make it to the Mountain Pass, but we first gotta decide Karlach's fate. Admaer and the gang stumbled across her and the tension was high.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With the parasite within her head, Admaer was able to see and realize that Karlach isn't some rampaging devil, but a Tiefling that was forcefully enlisted into Zariel's army and she was trying to escape when the nautiloid ship arrived in Avernus. Now, considering that Admaer became a bit more forgiving of Astarion and his situation with Cazador, it was only nature that he would extend an olive branch to Karlach (I was kinda hoping Admaer would join Wyll and simply kill her, but then she pulled the "but I was a slave ;A;" card on him)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With that song and dance, the moment the gang went back to camp to rest, Wyll's patron, Mizora, decided to pay us a visit. Because Wyll didn't kill Karlach or sent her back to the Hells, Wyll was forcibly changed to look more devilish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Admaer, rightfully, got on his ass about his pact with Mizora, especially since Wyll went on a whole tangent about not accepting a bribe from Raphael. Unfortunately, through contract, Wyll cannot express what brought him into this deal with Mizora, but he swears on his life that he never regretted his decsion and his power was always for the good of the people. We'll get back to him another time.
As for Karlach, Admaer agreed to kill the so called "Paladins of Tyr" so that they would get off her back.
Tumblr media
Also, love the new animation for the Hold Person spell, homie got caught lackin
Tumblr media
With that song & dance dealt with, we finally went to the Mountain Pass proper to meet with the Githyanki. While there, we ran into a Tiefling who was watching the commotion between what seemed to be Flaming Fists and Githyanki.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Upon meeting Lae'zel's people, Admaer already had a bad feeling, especially when they realize that the weapon that they were looking for, and apparently even the Goblins are looking for, involves the mysterious artifact that they carry with them. Admaer signals for Lae'zel to delay telling the truth so that they may bypass the Gith and go to the mountain pass. As they are about to venture there, they are struck with a powerful force, much like how when the tadpole would invade ones mind, but it was much stronger. A voice from on high informing Admaer and his gang that three individuals are their champions and that they want the weapon sent to them. If this is done, they will have a seat in their ranks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In that same scene, Shadowheart whips out the artifact and it dispels the magic and the powerful influence from them. It is now that we discover that this artifact is of Githyanki origins and Shadowheart had a mission to possess this item and bring it back to someone in Baldur's Gate. But she still refuses to tell the gang her mission, who this contact in Baldur's Gate is, and literally anything that would essentially help them in the long run.
While Admaer is getting fed up with this "just trust me, ok" talk, he unfortunately is too deep in this mess to just let Shadowheart go. Who knows what will happen if she and that artifact are alone as she makes the trek to Baldur's Gate. At least she and the item has the security of safety in numbers. Admaer agrees to let Shadowheart hold on to the artifact and they embark on their journey to the Gith Creche.
...Is what I would say if I wasn't then hit with a "Are you sure you want to leave? Make sure you tie up any loose ends before going" message lmao! So it looks like I'm gonna stay here for a minute!
I still believe Admaer would somewhat want to help the tieflings, but I want there to be a in-world reason for him to do so as he's not the most altruistic person around. I might hang around the Emerald Grove and chat with Karlach for a moment and see if that can spark a bit of "shit, I guess I give a shit" within Admaer.
Before we end this chapter with Admaer, I want to talk about some cute Astarion & Karlach moments.
Admaer had a cute moment with Astarion where Admaer gives his "soon-to-be-lover" a glimpse of what he looks like now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Karlach, Admaer sent her over to Dammon after discovering a piece of Infernal Iron. Karlach's Infernal Engine is running hot and there's a chance it will not only harm those around her, but herself as well. While Tieflings are typically resistant to fire, Hells fire can and will prove to be too much. Thankfully, they were able to upgrade her engine so that she might not have to rely on Soul Coins for too long, but the heat is still a major problem. when we find Dammon in Baldur's Gate, perhaps he'll have a solution in mind.
Also, god fucking damnit Larian, they made Dammon just too damn hot in this full release XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, now Admaer & Astarion are matching :D

Assassin with a Heart of Gold
Tumblr media
Name: Admaer Daeneiros (He/Him)
Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Criminal
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
So after that that encounter with the True Soul and his companions, Admaer and the gang continue their trek to the Githyanki Creche. Now, this will mean that they have to pass by the Blighted Village, so a brief few stops were made. Firstly, they encountered that Owlbear that killed the previous True Soul. Such a creature would be worth a fortune (and XP) and they were able to snatch a Owlbear egg.
Tumblr media
look at how scared Shadowheart is :(
While we're speaking of the Owlbear cave and Shadowheart, it is here that Admaer learns that Shadowheart is a Cleric to Shar, Goddess of Darkness & Loss.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Regardless, Admaer tells her that he doesn't give a shit about her religious standing (he has worked with people with worse standards and ideologies) and that the parasite is more important than what he thinks of her religion. Which seems to put Shadowheart at ease. She also explains a bit about the wound that she has.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So far, Admaer feels a bit more comfortable traveling with Shadowheart now that she's opened up to him about a few things. However, he did learn that she likes night orchids and can't swim, something he kinda attempts to poke fun at her about (though he struck a nerve with her). She still hasn't came up about the artifact, which is now Admaer's secret goal to discover what that's all about.
Around this area is where you can recruit a dog named Scratch. However, because Admaer most likely had previous experiences where dogs were used to hunt him down or harm him, Admaer isn't a huge dog fan, so I didn't recruit Scratch to my camp (I got like 5 other characters who might be willing tho).
Also, the owlbear can now fly up to your position on high in the full game, something I didn't think was possible in EA (Early Access). It quite literally took me by surprise lmao!
Tumblr media
Before we went into the village, I decided to swap out Lae'zel for Wyll, mainly because I'm most likely going to interact with Karlach before going forward with the Creche. Let's see if I'm as big of a dick with this character :D.
Also two, we reunited with this mf!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the point where Admaer learns further about Halsin's desire to go to the old temple of Selune and the Night Song. Admaer takes the contract from Aradin's hands, more or less wanting to see if he can find whatever treasure could be hidden there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unlike Torment, who is now just going through a whole rampage within the Blighted Village, Admaer is more concerned in getting past them without much hassle. Of course, while we were there, I decided to do a few side quests.
Once of them involved going into the cellar of a village apothecary who wasn't exactly as they seemed as they performed criminal acts against their patients in what seems like a desperate attempt to discover the secrets to the eerie book of necromancy. This is where Admaer picked up a Quasit familiar, Shovel (renamed to Fork) who is now tied to Admaer. Lets see how long this little guy will last.
The book could not be opened without a amethyst opal that fits within the skin covered mouth. This required going into the village blacksmith's workshop where we got a taste of the first level of the Underdark. While there, we fought Phase Spiders, Ettercaps, and a big mama Phase Spider. Finally, we were able to get the item required to open the book, and Admaer decided to give it to Astarion. He made enough bad life choices and he's not magically inclined anyways, so why not let Astarion fuck himself up?
While still at the Blighted Village, we did discover blueprints to create a unique weapon, but it requires Sussur Bark to complete it. Unfortunately, Admaer failed the Nature check to know that it can be found in the Underdark, but we'll get there when we get there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As I stated before when I first mentioned Astarion, this character is most definitely a Astarion romance run. The second I got his bite scene, I knew exactly what I was doing. Unfortunately, I couldn't probe his mind because I used it up with the dying True Soul (in my personal opinion, that's why Admaer allowed Astarion to bite him to begin with), but, regardless, I let him have a nibble. Of course, this is where Astarion explains his whole deal with Cazador. I won't go into detail about it here again because I already explained it with Torment.
Essentially, Cazador turned Astarion into a vampire and made his life a living hell. Admaer began to sympathize with Astarion since they both share similar stories of slavery and pain. So this gave Admaer someone to confide in, and now he's dotting on Astarion, fighting to keep Astarions' freedom.
And it seems they'll be able to get it on tonight because Admaer offered that Astarion can bit him again...So ;)

Assassin with a Heart of Gold
Tumblr media
Name: Admaer Daeneiros (He/Him)
Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Criminal
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
We finally got to Admaer and we went a bit farther with Admaer this time around. So, after attempting to face the Absolute and discovering that its a giant tentacle, we were sent to the Mystery Flesh Pit so that Balthazar could attempt to rip the Astral Prism from our person. This immediately started combat as we tried to escape and fight Balthazar and his undead minions. Fun little detail I noticed here was that the corpses of Minthara and Dor Ragzlin were reanimated and joined the fight. I thought that was neat :D.
Because we fast traveled to the Mystery Flesh Pit, I was able to save Zevlor, release Mizora, and rushed to fight Ketheric Thorm. Another fun little detail is how he was so confident that Balthazar would take care of us that when we appeared in front of him, he went ">:O". Oh, another fun detail! After saving Mizora, Admaer was able to convince her to gift Wyll with something after going through all the trouble of saving her. Wyll was able to get a cool rapier that can summon a Incubus to fight for us.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After taking care of Ketheric Thorm, we get another new set of dialogue from Dame. Because Admaer allowed her to get got by Balthazar, she was suspicious of Admaer. After leaving the Cursed Lands, she proclaimed her alliance with Admaer by asking Selune to forgive Admaer for his transgression. Now that we have Halsin, Jaheira, Thaniel, and Dame on our side, we marched our way to Baldur's Gate to face the Absolute and find more allies.
Once again, Admaer and Astarion have a talk where Admaer becomes a bit concern about Astarion considering of taking Cazadors place in the ritual of Profane Ascension. Admaer reminds Astarion that freedom doesn't necessarily means more power, but does agree to help him kill Cazador. As for Karlach, she expressed her frustrations about Gortash abusing her trust and being the prime reason she was sent to Avernus.
As Admaer laid to sleep, the camp was ambushed by Githyanki warriors as they attempted to steal the Astral Prism away from us. We are urged by our Guardian to enter a portal and this time, we reach the dimension where our Guardian resides without having to be asleep for it. After fighting against some Gith, we discover something shocking!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now this was somewhat spoiled for me, but our Guardian is a Mindflayer themselves! Admaer had a sneaking suspicion that something wasn't right when he started seeing Alex in his dreams because she died some time ago. This solidified his reasons for being so distrustful. However, despite this distrust, Admaer agreed to help fight the Githyanki and confronted the Mindflayer known as The Emperor. We learn that the Emperor was once a typical adventurer before their transformation. They went to Moonrise Towers in search for coin, but instead got a Mindflayer parasite in their eye. Despite becoming part of the hive mind society of Mindflayers, he was able to regain their sense of self.
So they ran away from their hive and lived in secret in Baldur's Gate. They fed off those who did wrong and soon became a prominent member of a guild. That was, until Gortash found him and had the Emperor dragged back to the hive mind of the Elder Brain. But then, he regain his freedom by use of the Astral Prism, thanks to none other than Orpheus. Orpheus apparently has the power to supress the effects of the tadpole, thus the Emperor has been utilizing his strength to keep ours under control.
The Emperor still desires to go against the Absolute, wanting to keep their freedom and seemingly is allied with stopping the Grand Design from happening. Although Admaer is becoming a reluctant hero, when offered to consume a parasite to further evolve his being, Admaer stomped that shit to the ground; angering the Emperor.
Upon returning from the Astral Prism, Admaer spoke with Lae'zel further about Orpheus. She explains that the Gith people were able to break from their Illithid slavers thanks to Mother Gith securing an alliance with Tiamat. Over the years, the Githyanki have been in servitude with different Gith who would take the title of Vlaakith. The most recent Vlaakith, the Lich Queen, wanted Orpheus dead because he was the true leader of the Githyanki and his power would usurp her. Based on the stories, he was supposedly killed by Kith Voss. However, it looks like he remains not dead.
Lae'zel, now fully convinced of her Queen's treachery, wants to free Orpheus, which Admaer promptly is like, "whoa whoa, let's slow down there for a second." Admaer DEFINITELY isn't gonna let Orpheus go as long as these parasites still sit in his head, so that's at the bottom of his bucket list.
But now that the crew is out of the Shadow Lands, our road to Baldur's Gate can continue once again. Next time, we'll continue where we left off with Pero and see where the road takes us!

Background: Criminal
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
So moving on! Let's finish up with Admaer since nearly all my characters are at a narrative check point where we'll finally get to see new things!
So last we left this little bastard, We finally got Halsin as a companion and helped He Who Watches (HWW) with getting their knockers off. After doing this, I attempted to break my way to the top of Moonrise towers. I already dispatched the Half-Orc lady and the woman with the skeletons, along with a few other individuals who would've been a pain in my ass. When we reached the top of the tower, we were advised to come back until we were worthy of gaining ascendency. So I initially thought I was locked out (foolish of me) and had to go after the Nightsong then come back. Problem being that I killed the essential NPCS that would help me get up there with no problem once I completed the quest...So let's go find the Nightsong :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On our way to the Gauntlet of Shar, we meet with Raphael and go an alternative route after completing the puzzle to enter the temple. So I decided to go through a path that wraps around to a kitchen area that's near where we can find Balthazar. This gives us a different cutscene and a friendlier introduction with the necromancer as he compliments Admaer for taking the back route instead of going through the usual temple run route.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This time around, I decided to go all the way with Balthazar and left Shadowheart at the alter as I temple ran my way through the Gauntlet of Shar. Admaer and the gang was able to kill the devil so that Astarion would learn what his scars were, and Admaer, in a less sappy way, reassured him that he'll assist with getting rid of Cazador for him bby.
After going through the trials of Shar, because I didn't get rid of Balthazar, homeboy just decided to float into the Shadowfell with the crew and meet us at the heart of the area where the Nightsong resides. This is also time first time, in game, where we hear portions of the Nightsong's true name, Aylin. Being the ruthless asshat that he is, Admaer allowed Aylin to be taken by Balthazar and was promptly given a talk to by Shadowheart lol. She expresses her anger that we went into the Sharran temple without her and took her chances of proving herself to her Lady Shar. In which, Admaer promptly goes:
"Lol. Lmao even"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After doing this, I went straight for Moonrise Towers and tried to meet with Ketheric after doing the deed, only for me to be told that the next piece to the puzzle would be going after Isobel and bringing her to Moonrise. Not wanting to go back there and potentially damn the innocent lives and backup there, Admaer opt to go with Ketheric's first option and attempt to ascend. This resulted in a big ol tentacle monster to emerge and attempt to grasp at us, but our little box companion protected us from the creature.'
Thus, we are landed back into the mystery flesh pit and trapped in alien like pods. Though this time around, we will need to escape quickly because Balthazar has been tasked with forcefully removing the prism from us. That's where we'll leave Admaer as he and his friends are about to be fighting for their lives the next time we wrap back around to them

WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
Ayo, it's been a minute. Due to work, life, and other stuff, I've taken a long while break from the game due to the exhaustion. So I haven't gotten far with my bbys. So much so that for Torment, I didn't have enough, I feel to make a stand alone post with just him. So, we're gonna combine my two playthroughs with both Admaer and Torment together into one post!
Starting with Torment. Last we left off, we found Balthazar and secretly agreed to help him reach the Nightsong. You know, until I decided "naw, that's wack" and killed him early on anyways. After completing the trials of Shar and gaining access to the Shadowfell, I was very tempted to have Torment stand in Shadowheart's way so that he would have to make the ultimate decision to kill her...But I fucked that up lol. I ended up activating a dialogue tree where I was able to fucking succeed a goddamn DC 30 PERSUASION CHECK on her ass and got her to stay in the party anyways and save the Nightsong. Laughing my fucking ass off on that one homie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After freeing the Nightsong, since Last Light Inn was still standing, I got to see a cool cutscene where it looks like Jaheira is about to rally the forces to go against Ketheric Thorm and help us in the fight. Torment was able to kinda comfort Shadowheart and while at camp, Torment talked with Lae'zel about the whole "not going to the Githyanki creche thing." Which, she did threaten to leave, but Torment threatened back that she should stay...Which she approved of apparent...Girl you a freak, I can't wait to finally romance her someday lmao.
As Torment was settling in to rest, homeboy, Sceleritas Fel, came to visit again. This time, bearing some very unfortunate news. Presented in front of us was Wyll, the one companion that I have the highest approval ratings with (funnily enough lmao). Because we didn't go after Isobel and kill her, our urge requires blood. It will not wait any longer and it will take what it can get. Despite Torment saying that he won't hurt Wyll, a lot of the choices that I experimented with led to Wyll getting bodied, and unless I lie about the cause of Wyll's death, the whole camp will be against Torment and kill him.
So, with a successful will save to not @ Wyll, Torment hurriedly warns Wyll that he's next on the chopping board and came forward about what happened to Alfira. Torment ended up blacking out, but instead of waking up in a pool of Wyll's blood, he awakens tied up. At this point, Torment is absolutely berserk, not even able to formulate proper and sane sentences (depending on the choice of dialogue you choose, of course). Wyll encourages Torment to fight against the urge and to regain his senses. And with a howl and a snarl, the urge eventually subsides.
Because Torment came forward about killing Alfira, Wyll asks why Torment didn't say something sooner. RP-wise and based on the dialogue option I chose, Torment became overwhelmed with emotions, mainly fear and despair, and simply cried. And honestly, I don't know why my simp ass was overlooking Wyll for Torment's playthrough, because I was immediately smitten by Wyll's promise to work with Torment through his dark urges. I'm honestly pulled in so many different directions with this character XD. First Astarion, then Halsin, and now Wyll!
After getting some encouraging comments from everyone...Except from Astarion, funnily enough. But this is where we will end with Torment and transition over to Admaer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moving over to Admaer, I was able to find He Who Was (HWW for short) and accepted the quest to find the guilty ones' confession of their transgression. Now, I already dealt with 2 of the Thorm family and decided to take a quick trip over to Malus and tell him to kill himself. After doing so and picking up the item to continue Halsin's quest, I picked up the book and went running back to HWW. This time around, I wanted to instead verbally call the guilty one so that I didn't harm HWW. This apparently got us onto good terms with him and maybe slightly insinuating that homeboy gets aroused when punishing sinners. HWW leaves us, but with the promise that we'll see him again.
As for Halsin, I was able to more successfully keep his ass out of the Shadowfell and went on a trip to find Thaniel's missing half, Oliver. This time around, Admaer didn't both playing games with the kid, letting them know right away that the crew knew that they were Thaniel's other half. This initiated combat over at Riethwin and this time around, due to positioning, Lae'zel got caught up in the cutscene. I decided to pick the option that best sounded like Lae'zel, which was harshly telling Oliver to get in the fucking kid.
Once again, we're informed that we gotta get rid of Thorm to fully restore the land. This time around, I'm gonna try to get into the upper levels of Moonrise Towers before going after the Nightsong with Admaer and Nalanthar to see what would happen.

WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
Back with the bastard man, I decided that I wanted to beeline over to the Last Light Inn because I wanted to help Karlach get her shit fixed. Fought some peeps and we finally made it to Last Light Inn, meeting Jaheira and the crew. Admaer was able to simply convince the Harpers that he doesn't mean them harm, not revealing the item that protects him and the crew. He also didn't drink the spiked drink that would force him to speak the truth. I was almost not wanting to go meet Isobel because I feared that I wouldn't be able to save her and compromise our good standing with the peeps at Moonrise Tower. But against all odds, I fucking filled that bitch! And so Admaer can freely walk in both Last Light and Moonrise.
And I'm pissed at this lmao! Esepcially since while staying here, I've discovered a few things!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So now Karlach can touch peeps now! With the second insertion of the Infernal Iron, she's now able to touch peeps! Admaer was reluctant to let her touch him, but he indulged her for a moment. However, this did not fix her problem, because her Infernal Engine cannot function in the Material Realm and she would need to return to Avernus. Which is a less than ideal solution to her problem. Admaer avoids the obvious air in the room, just letting her revel in her freedom and ability to make connections again.
I also finally found that fucker who was muttering rhymes in their sleep! And they apparently know where Thaniel is! I feel so bad that I missed this area with the Pero run and I hope there's still a way for me to find Thaniel and life the shadow curse. Admaer brought Halsin to this guy and we learn that due to the Shadow Curse, it put homeboy in a comatose state and we'll have to find something that relates to him that he would remember. So far, we have a hint that something at Moonrise Towers might help jog the guys memory.
We also found Raphael and we get a different scene where, because Admaer knows why Astarion wants to speak with the Cambion, Raphael doesn't bother revealing the scars. Raphael agrees to read the supposed poem on the condition that we do something for them. Metawise, we already know what that is, but for now, he bamfs out of there. Admaer also helped Mol out with cheating at the game against Raphael, and we get a different scene with her as well.
Admaer was able to sus out that Mol made a deal with Raphael to help her friends to Baldur's Gate and set up shop for their upstart Thieve's Guild. You can actually see this in game as none of the kids, aside from Mol, are present. Which this scared me for a moment as I though me going to Moonrise Towers triggered something where the majority of the kids died or something lol. Unlike Pero who tried to warn her about Raphael, Admaer stated his mild concerns, but he's willing to give her the benefit of the doubt that she'll make the right choice if she wants to keep her soul free from the Hells.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We spoke with Wulbren again and learn that the Ironhand Gnomes have had a sour history because of their involvement in helping a Bhaal-spawn in one of the previous games! Which, if you played those games, you experienced their downfall. Since thing, Deep Gnomes haven't been particularly liked in Baldur's Gate and Wulbren has been working hard to repair their reputation. After saving Isobel and doing some side combats, the party is off again as we're now in explorer mode to find more stuff about Thaniel potentially and grind bby. While exploring, Admaer found a Night Orchid and gifted it to Shadowheart. Unlike Pero who did it out of kindness, Admaer is somewhat expectant of a potential compensation in the future.

Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Criminal
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
So last we left the gang, Admaer and the homies decided to go straight to Moonrise Towers. As we entered we met the myth, the legend, J.K. Simons!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His intro was baller homies! So we got to see Ketheric Thorm in the Undead flesh and he's pissed homies. Essentially, if we had Minthara in the group, he would most likely direct his anger towards her because the Absolute is still missing the artifact that they're seeking. Now, casual reminder that this isn't really a evil playthrough as Admaer is mostly try to keep up a face so that he may get close enough to discovering the secrets behind the Tadpole. So he played along when he was commanded to kill the Goblins. Hey, less fodder to deal with when we finally decide to clear the place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next, we decided to hit up Disciple Z'rell who has been blessed by the Absolute with surprising power. She sends us on a quest to look for Balthazar since he was suppose to go to the Thorm family Crypt to look for a relic. They lost contact with Balthazar while he was down there and whether or not he's alive is of little concern, it's getting the relic that they want. Which, considering that we did a bit of Pero's playthrough, this relic is most likely the Nightsong. Admaer agrees to look for him, but in the meantime, we continued to explore. Unfortunately, we weren't able to go after Ketheric Thorm to even talk since the doors are red, meaning that interacting with it will make us public enemy #1, so we'll get back to that until it's safe to do so.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We entered Balthazar's quarters to grab an extra Moon Lantern and found the secret area in his room where he was conducting his experiments. Few dead pixies here and there. While in that room, we discover that there's a propagandic letter involving Voss and a Githyanki prince by the name of Orpheus. Apparently he became an enemy of Queen Vlaakith and Voss was tasked to kill him. But the letter expresses that this was not the case and that the prince will return. While Lae'zel disregards this letter and sees it as a threat, due to what she has experienced thus far, she's showing some gnawing conflict within herself.
After getting the Moon Lantern, I decided to try and dispatch as many cultist as possible and as quietly as possible. This also included getting rid of those scrying orbs. While exploring, we met a few interesting characters here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We met an Ogre named Mig who kept saying how she heard meat in the walls. While exploring, I figured out where the rafters were and decided to venture above. While up there, I discovered the hole that has parts of the Ilithid ship within it. Admaer was able to pull his arm out from the hole so that he wouldn't get snatched up, but gosh do I like the cosmic horror of this place, which I'll explain in a bit. When we went back to Mig to explain what we saw, I was hoping that we could get her to go on a rampage or something, but instead, she believes this meat to be the Absolute, so she's happy I guess.
We then met Brawler Meneg who has the power to influence others. She was able to assert her dominance to make some Gnolls passive creatures, but Admaer saw this as an opportunity to dispatch another cultist silently, so she and the Gnolls got bodied. Admaer and Astarion then met Arja who is a bit too experimental. She wanted to sell us some stuff that has mysterious effects, but she required Admaer's blood, which he promptly refused. She then turned her attention on Astarion and asked that he bite her in exchange for a potent item. In which case, Astarion said no, and Admaer backed him up. We'll get back to this in a moment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The crew then decided to enter the prison and this is where we meet some of the prisoners down below. Thanks to our experience with Torment, we meet Wulbren trapped with a few other Gnomes and some Tieflings. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of Tieflings were there, at least, not the ones that some would consider noteworthy like Zevlor. Regardless, Admaer decided to break these guys out by silently taking out each of the guards bit by bit. While exploring, I decided the mystery flesh pit! Unfortunately, I didn't take a screenshot of it, but you're gonna have to believe me on this. There's a mystery flesh pit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm still not done with Moonrise Towers, but I decided that I wanted to explore a bit more of the area and level up. I speedrun past biggy thicc and heavy-like-a-chevy and on my way to perhaps find Arabella. Before we end this post, we won the game AGAIN! So with Astarion, he decides to come forward about wanting to speak with Raphael about his scars. This is a different approach compared to how he spoke about this with Pero where he was a bit secretive about why he wanted to speak with the Cambion which made her concerned about his reasons for doing so.
While here, Astarion decided to give Admaer his thanks for not pushing his boundaries with that Drow. He explained that Cazador would force him to do things he didn't really want to do, often charming people back to his master.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Admaer heard that Astarion was only getting close to him because he wanted his protection and was using him, Admaer will admit that he wasn't surprised. Admaer himself has had encounters where he used others in the same way. For protection, to gain their trust, or just for a good time. So he understands, and he was ready to just accept that about Astarion since he's such a fruity type of guy who would lay about with whomever and call it a day. But then Astarion had to hit him with "but then I started catchin feelings."
Now, to admit, Admaer has been catchin the same feelings too. Since he's known Astarion, he sees a lot of himself in his position. Two individuals who were held in captivity for centuries of their lives, used and abused by their master(s) to do their bidding with very little say in how they want to do it or if they even want to do it at all. While Astarion doesn't even remember a time when he was free from Cazador, Admaer was never a free man, pretty much dealt the worst hand possible and was practically born and raised in such a lifestyle.
Admaer's feelings for Astarion is complicated in that Admaer isn't sure he's ready to let himself connect with someone again. Reminder that the last person he truly felt butterflies for was for a Human named Alex, the very person whom the Guardian guises as, only for him to loose her to death. He felt stupid letting himself think he could have anything nice for himself, even more stupid because he fell for a Human of all people. Someone who he would outlive anyways if it weren't for her untimely death.
Admaer was happy to just have the moment be a one night stand. A moment of reprieve for the both of them so that they can keep themselves sane throughout this journey. But hearing that Astarion felt the same way, Admaer was kicking himself when he uttered that he cared for Astarion.
When he opened his mind to Astarion, I like to think that he probably let a bit too much slip, revealing that he once had a flame with Alex before her death. Perhaps sowing some mild doubt within Astarion as he might think that Admaer is using him as a replacement for what he lost before. But Admaer's love for Astarion are genuine, but what the fuck are they gonna call this lol?
Love? Friends with benefits. They're both clueless.

Assassin with a Heart of Gold
Tumblr media
Name: Admaer Daeneiros (He/Him)
Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Criminal
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD
While it was fun playing the Dark Urge, we're gonna put Torments' story on hold and focus on our other worthy heroes. Starting with Admaer. To catch everyone up since the last time I spoke of my bombastic side-eye Rogue, Admaer was in Baldur's Gate looking to assassinate Lord Enver Gortash, one of the few individuals who enslaved him in his past. He got snatched up by the mindflayers, had a parasite placed in his skull, and now we're here.
His main party, thus far, seems to be Shadowheart, Astarion, and Lae'zel. Wyll is at camp and Gale was completely ignored (maybe we'll meet him again in the future). He and the gang went to Emerald Grove in search for healing. They were able to interrogate the Tiefling, Zorru, about where the Githyanki Creche is, which Admear allowed Lae'zel to do her thang. This is where I was so much on Lae'zel's good side that she got hot and bothered. Admaer politely refused (this is a Astarion romance run).
With the Creche revealed, Admaer is most likely going to go in the direction of that quest than anything else. Until then, Admaer is still willing to take Shadowhearts advice and at least see if there's anyone within the Grove that can help.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Admaer entered the inner grove, really looking to talk with Nettie and not involve himself in the tension between the Tieflings and the Druids. But he would happen upon a scene of Kagha threatening to imprison a Tiefling child for stealing the holy idol of Silvanus. Initially, Admaer mostly stood and watch, but he decided to peer within Kagha's mind, learning that she's power hungry and exerting that power upon the weak. Now, this doesn't make Admaer do a 180 and decide to save the Tieflings, but seeing the poor kid frightened, and being reminded of his own troubled past, he extends an olive branch and asks that Kagha let the girl go.
He does talk with Kagha for a brief minute, but he goes straight to Nettie. Being a Rogue (and a Criminal/Spy one at that), I was putting heavy emphasis on sneaking around and touching things I shouldn't, so Admear was able to get his hands on the antidote book you can find before going deeper into Halsin's study room.
Admaer saw that Nettie was holding a poisonous branch of Kelemvor's Kiss (didn't know what it was initially) and saw that Nettie was being shifty, so he wasn't completely honest with her. This resulted in him getting nearly poisoned and locked in the room with her. Admaer was able to steal away the antidote and he "promised" to take the wyvern poison should he turn. To Admaer, this was a near waste of time and only pushed his resolve to reach the Gith Creche.
However, Nettie did provide another alternative. Halsin, the original First Druid of Emerald Grove, has been studying up on the infected people who got the parasite and he knows more about this than anyone else within 100 miles from here. Admaer still isn't hopeful about this, especially since he's currently either imprisoned or dead, but if push comes to shove; Admear will consider looking for the First Druid.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before leaving the Grove, Admaer noticed that Shadowheart made a pained noise and her hand started to make a strange glow. Admaer didn't really "ask" about it, I more like to see it that Shadowheart just decided to come forth about it, because after she explained what that supposedly was, Admaer left it alone. Did a few side quests and events at the grove and we're on our way to the Gith Creche! (Here's a alive Afira for those traumatized by the last post involving her and Torment ;A;)
Tumblr media
Also I finally learned how to dye my characters clothes. The original color of the +1 padded armor didn't really fit Admaer, and this new color still doesn't (he's a Rogue goddamn it, he needs dark and edgy clothing!), but this look is slowly growing on me. Now I want to buy or craft all the dyes!
You may have noticed in the previous pic that Raphael is in that scene. Yep, same place, same time too! To be honest, I prefer finding him while trying to sleep in for the night, the lighting does not do him wonders in this scene. Regardless, homie snatches Admaer and the game into the House of Hope, offering a easy fix to remove the parasite.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Although Admaer refused the offer, that doesn't mean he completely disregarded it in his heart. Admaer will most likely keep this in the furthest backburner of his mind, but it will sit there if there truly is no other way. All the more reason to hope that the Lae'zel is right or Halsin is alive.
While traveling, Admaer and the gang ran into Edowin, Andrick, and Brynna. This would be the first time Admaer decides to fully call upon his Illithid and enforce his will upon the two apprentices and gain information about the Absolute.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After learning what he needed from this, he told them to leave. Seeing how this power could be useful in case they need a bit of mind probing influence, Admaer agrees with Astarion that they should utilize this power. Though, he does also agree that there should be some caution on using this power too much.
As Admaer was searching the dead Edowin, he has a moment
